If it’s not the owner of the company, then it is employees who make use of this transportation network to get to where the business needs them to be. Often, but not always, people like to travel and they see this as an opportunity to get into new adventures, to come in touch with new cultures or customs and to enjoy the evenings once the business day has come to an end.

Say, you’re one of those people. You’re young and have no real attachments or responsibilities at home and so you make the call to get into such a job. The first trip is a full rush of adrenaline, you don’t know all that well what’s going to happen, but you’re eager to find out and to prove you’re worth sending you to the other side of the continent.

You find yourself in an adventure, you spend much time on your project, and less time you imagined you would on the discovery part of the story. Before you know it you’re on your flight back home, and you’ve done it. It’s been a success.

What has been a success?

You’re in the office and it’s just another day at work. You’re eager to get back on a flight towards a new adventure. Because you’re convinced that this time you’ve figured it out already and you will estimate your time better, you’ll have time to explore and to enjoy. But that doesn’t happen.

One year later, you’re on your flight to this new place. You’ve booked a short trip, your estimation of the time you need is two days, days which are packed, but you have so much work and cannot really afford the time for a tour through that city anyway.
